A pickup coming around a curve in my lane.. I hit the shoulder.. as there was oncoming traffic behind him.. and I very much doubt the bastard ever noticed.. I'm thinking he was drunk and took the curve too fast and ended up too wide as well. I was in a small car that time. Did you experience the time dilation effect? I had enough time (less than two seconds) to notice the traffic behind him, the gravel shoulder, the slope beyond the gravel shoulder, the field at the bottom of slope.. and decide that risking rolling the car into the field was better than hitting an oncoming car. I did keep the car on the shoulder.. but it took some minutes to get my knees to turn back to bone from jello...
