Oh dear God -(umm general nonsensical rant) by fuzzface2002-10-19 03:10:42
Mutual exclusion... fine no prob. by skeegenin 2002-10-19 08:56:37
Unless this is your first multi-threading experience. Still, Java makes this a lot easier to accomplish than other languages (*cough* Posix threads *cough*).

But... DEADLOCK DETECTION!?!?!? Perhaps there are some simplifying assumptions or a different context giving this phrase a new meaning, but from what I recall of my hazy lazy days of school, true deadlock detection is reduceable to the halting problem. Urp. Well, perhaps I'm just remembering wrong... I'll probably give in to my urge to look it up in about five minutes. ;)

Anyway, congrats on getting your Aglets working (short for aggregation objects? some sort of spider architecture?). I've been working with Java for a while and never heard of them... doesn't really surprise me I guess. And most new Java things have very little documentation along with weird quirks at first.

Happy dreams... hope you can get the byte code out of your head. ;)
