here's a no kill shelter in Vancouver. Have you looked into if there are any similar organizations in your area? Typically these places put the cats into foster homes to provide them with the much neeeded TLC until someone can adopt them and are run completely by volunteers.

Just in case you didn't know, all you need to bring the cats into Canada is a recent vet certificate stating they have had all their shots. Oh, btw what side of the border is the wedding taking place? If it's the US and you haven't done the paperwork, tell Kickstart NOT to tell them that's his purpose for coming into the States. Technically you are required to file the silly Petition for Alien Fiancé.
