Doc McCoy zapped him with intensly bright light to drive off, i think, some brain-sucking parasite-type critter. Turned out that it didn't fear all light, just UV light. Wore off by the end of the episode, though, and all was well with the universe.
Getting off the star trek line (cuz i can't think of another good one :p ), if you engrave with a wand in vanilla nethack, and get no special message, what kind(s) of wand COULD you have? (assume no wands are identified yet.) |
