the rest of us schmucks can get 'em too :) I know someone who was let go from Netscape and was given a nice severance package, paid for a house even. I know in my current job, within a year, my job (and a few others) will be going away and if the company cannot reallocate us within the company, we get a 6 month severance package (how nice it is I don't know and rather hope I don't have to find out either) Again, depends on the company in question.
