Now that I've read all the other posts, I can definitly say: What About Adoption? Why should our child be a product of our genes? Genes are only half the story, environment plays a factor as well. Take an unwanted, abandoned child and bring them up in a better environment than they would have if they had stayed where they were (with a parent who neither wants them nor can care for them) and you will likely have a better child as a result. And by extrapolation , a better person overall who can raise the bar rather than lowering it.
