From doing what they want to do anyway. DP isn't exactly 'property' belonging to CI. And Erwin has been proven to be powerful (and smart) enough to construct his own Mech. I don't think anyone over at CI would be able to stop either of them from visiting AJ and offering to help him out. Who knows, maybe the Chief TOLD them to go help him out because he truly regrets letting AJ go?
