not only is there a lack of good original games out there... there is also just alot of bloatware... they've sacrificed other things to make stuff look pretty(pouring on eye candy). Not to say things aren't playable but some of the older games seem far more playable then the new ones or the more modern varients of the same game. Geez I remember when 8M was a lot of ram then 30M... then 64M... now my 256M isn't seen as being much... ugggg... and video cards used to last more than 6 months to a year before you had to upgrade to run games, etc.
