Virus spoofing "virus detected" warning? by LionsPhil2002-10-18 01:33:10
  I think someone's been by Arienadean 2002-10-18 01:39:12
spoofing somes email addys... not sure where they obtained them maybe a list or something. Chromatix got back like send errors(no comment on a virus though) before from some people to one of his old email addys. He looked at the headders and tracked it down to someone at a uni in germany. He filed a complaint with the sysadmin, etc. Then he eventually stopped using the email address of his that someone spoofed. It was a cyberspace.org email so I'm hoping that someone isn't grabbing email addys from there to use to do that or one of the ones I have is being used in a like manner. I'd not know as I've not actively used that account it just exists if I need a backup way into some places as grex.cyberspace.org is a free virtual unix account.(handy for learning console stuff which was original reason I got the account there on advice of friends)
