It was not an issue to the people of that time period, like it is today. Just as you draw inferences from what is recorded, I can draw the same inferences from his charachter and teachings on related subjects. Also Jesus' words only appear in 5 books of the Bible, yet the Bible is composed of 66 books. Most of the rest of the New Testament is other authors applying Jesus' teachings to their issues, homosexuality being one of them. And if you do belive the Bible then you believe that the entire Word (not just the words of Jesus in the Gospels) was inspired by God, and just as infallible as the words of Jesus themselves.

So, as I said in another post, omission =/= permission.
