Jesus does comment on the value of hospitality (conversation with Lazarus' sisters, healing the Roman sentry's sick child) and idolatry (throwing money-lenders from the temple) and threatening McDonald's workers (he who lives by the sword shall die by it). I don't know that he mentions rape specifically, but he does speak out against violence and commands that Christians protect the defenseless. Rape being a crime of violence, I'll add that to my side of the scale.
If homosexuality were a burning issue to Jesus, somewhere in his three years of ministry he would have found time to talk about it. That's the point of the argument, at least. May not mean squat, but it's worth noting that of all the various sins and immoralities he speaks against, homosexuality isn't one of them. |
