I've seen documentaries where SEVERAL armed police are walking around with rifles, splitting up groups and asking very personal questions, fingerprinting, etc. They have great success with it. I'm pro-privacy as much as the next guy, but why should we Americans succumb to the bleeding heart whiners and create a vulnerability to be taken advantage of? This method seems to be working abroad.
