I don't know if this was mentioned before but just saw it on Global National News on channel 11 here(BCTV). The canadian government has filed an official complaint as canadians are also being screened. What happens is if you are born in another country though pretty much have been a citizen here all your life they profile you on entry to the US. One woman born in iraq but here since a child was reciently finger printed, had her picture taken, etc.
The memo the US put out to their customs, etc to do this states men from palestine, iraq, etc(several arab nations) between ages of 16 and 45 be profiled, etc. Also any american citizen or other who has been to a list of 12 countries for no given reason, etc will also be profiled.(I think they are also searching people when they do this) |
