Besides, to be best of my knowledge, Avril Lavigne doesn't have a wife.
A friend of mine from high school used to always wear odd clothes, but no one much noticed after a while. She quite often wore a tie with blouses, and it actually worked pretty well, I thought. She wore clothes that looked natural on her, that only seemed odd if you realized that most ever people never wore combinations of clothes quite like her..
