| You're much more versed in the ways of porn than I, so I'll have to take your word for it. I remember seeing (what I thought was) quite a bit of it when I was...oh, thirteen or fourteen and anything involving a bare breast was the greatest movie ever, but I suppose I grew out of it. I don't remember any objectification of women in the movie - too happy was nin_boy at seeing porn to ponder the social structure of smut - but it seems like that would be the case. Most of it would be aimed towards a male audience, you'd think. Then again, you'd also think that as everything else in our culture approaches gender equality, porn would take the same route. It may have - but there will always be that contingent who gets off on watching someone call a woman "b*tch" or "c**t" as they bob away, and so there will always be a corner of the market that caters to them. As far as I'm concerned, all porn is bad porn. I've got no use for it, myself, but to each his (or her) own. If you've got a vision to make the world of smutty pleasures better for all women, then I'm behind you all the way. I'll just be averting my eyes. :) |
