Still haven't recovered from that. Just got my Windows side finally restored yesterday (recovering data and such, plus family obligations,... time just is never sufficient, etc). This morning I wake up to find that the drive I just had set right the night before (and hadn't backed up yet) had taken a fatal dump! At this point, I'm not sure if I'll be able to recover one directory (a few month's worth of work), but the really important stuff is backed up. (Whew!)
I'm beyond crying, though. Next weekend the wife and I will go off on a three day cruise. I'll worry about the computer next week. |
