| I'd suggest a mix of weapons among the squad - no gun can manage everything! For entry, three guys with 12-bores, firing solid slugs, one to a hinge and any door will go down. If stealth is required, MP5SDs among the rest, and one guy with a SAW or similar for heavy backup. If stealth is not a requirement, sub in MP5/10s for the SDs, for extra stopping power. Make sure all team members are issued with a Glock in a calibre to match their MP5, or a 10mm if they don't have an MP5. Also, never underestimate the effectiveness of a knife in urban conflict - 99.9% of this will be up close and personal. That, of course, is the money-some-but-not-much-object solution. The money-no-object solution is to use G11s rather than MP5s, since they'll provide similar firepower with fewer reloads and more ammunition, a G11 LMG instead of the SAW (better ROF and 100 more rounds) and OICWs instead of the shottys. For the cheapa$$ leader, as many MP5s as can be got, AK-74s for the rest (with the 100-round mag if possible) and a scattering of shotguns loaded with solids, buckshot or flechettes. |
