...between sitting back and waiting for happiness to fall in your lap, as you seem to think I do, and watching a beautiful sunset and complaining because there's a bug flying overhead. Geeks just can't be happy. I don't think it's possible.

Sounds to me that spending hours upon hours in a dark basement pretending to be running around a dark dungeon with magical powers you'll never possess, having your pretend fate decided by a roll of the dice, is about as far from the real world as you can get. Don't you worry about geeks not having something to complain about. As long as there are geeks, there will always be complaining. And there will always be bitter women who wish they'd never dated one.
