And yet you judge by such a small subset... that is truly truly sad. So what is a "proper" geek? A geek who isn't saving up for a motorcycle, who is so desperate for female companionship that he'll take whatever he can get, and who can't converse with other people without some sort of digital translation device (e.g. IRC). Sorry pal. you need to meet some better geeks. I'm doing all those things and I'm still very much a geek, as are a good number (though not all) of my friends.
