Chivalry comes from a very misogynistic age in itself. In particular (and the only part of chivalry I give a rats posterior about, the rest is crap, IMNSHO) hitting a woman is like the modern day equivalent of drop-kicking a kitten (being a small, meek, relatively innocuous creature). Many a time I have gotten my butt whipped for stickin my nose where it doesn't belong to stop someone else from doin it, but these days I'm starting to wonder if its worth it, since I also got my butt kicked by a female once because I couldn't hit back!
So I guess I've gone from old-fashioned to misogynistic. Heh, cool. |
