Or, at least, I did the few times someone called in with a similar setup - naturally, I couldn't give support on an OS not puchased through Gateway, but I didn't know of any reason why I couldn't answer questions about the hardware that they might have had. My thinking was that if someone knows enough about computers to run Linux, all they're going to need me for is information and sending out replacement hardware as needed.
