  • First, let me slander Mr. Norton. My feeling is he tries to sell stripped-down chevys for Cadillac prices.
  • For books, try Abrash's Black Book. The Windows API can be obtained from MicroSoft on CD for the price of shipping. I had mine sent second day delivery, at a cost of about $12.00. I'd say it was worth it. But this does only spell out the C/C++ interface.
  • For another view of assembly language, take a look at the Gibson Research Center site. Check out his paper on "Small is Beautiful" under his freeware listing. Look here
