We had a thread about this awhile ago--I can't remember exactly when. It started when I got sick of the way the "coffee fund" here at w*** is run in our department. I went to the store and got a grinder, some beans, and a coffee press. Then someone here told me that pressing coffee (without a filter) leaves 2 chemicals in the coffee which your body then converts to LDL (bad cholesterol). So, after verifying, I went and bought one of those over-the-mug single cup cone filters. Now, I don't have to deal with it. I have a great place near me which sells fantastic beans, have a grinder, have a filter---no problem!!
From the responses I got last time, there are a lot of people here who do the same thing---UFie's take their coffee very seriously. |
