Get offa my land! by Kickstart2006-11-19 12:55:59
20 years after Annexation. by PecosDave 2002-10-14 05:58:01
The North Succeeds from the Union. They figure out they were better off as they were, besides, under the US government it's now illegal to import the good cigars. American Civil War II begins. The Central (New England/current North) and Western part of the current US fight to retain them. The Southern US officially refuses to participate, after all, we thought it was a good idea when we tried it, who are we to judge our Northern counterparts? Secretly we start sending our troops their way, smuggling them anyways we can. If Canada wins the South opens up court battles to succeed again, if they can do it why can't we? If they look like they're about to fail we jump in and start attacking on the opposite border. In that case it's a near guaranteed win for the two rebelling factions. We get to keep all land that’s ours and we split the remaining US territory between us, however Canada doesn't think it's fair to count Alaska since its so much undeveloped land. A few years after the treaty the Alaska thing just flares up and becomes too big of an issue and Canada and the New Confederate States of America are now at war with each other.
