Probably not even any form of unix...
I think Kevin tended to work with utilities,
and perhaps write a few of his own.
Likely running Windows, but he hasn't been running
ANY operating system for the last several years.
From what I have read, he did more of his "hacking"
based on pecking through open networks, and fooling
people over the phone into thinking he was another
employee - then getting passwords from them. Then
he could gain access to the machines internally,
via telnet and such, to infiltrate them further from
within. I don't think he was/is any supreme programmer,
or technical genius-
