I just spent 45 minutes trying to fix a problem the other day...i went over to my second computer on my tv...and could not get the internet...well started playing with internet explorer and could not see where it was broke...so i dropped to a command prompt...tried to ping yahoo.com....nothing...then i tried to surf to my other computer...nothing...aww crap...went to the server and checked winroute...spent 15 minutes verifying everything was ok...even tried to force it...then turned winroute from nat to proxy...still no luck...started checking the cat 5...kinda kinked in a few places where is is beutifully stappled to my baseboards...then sitting in the floor...thinking... ok what was the last thing i did before i lost connectivity...well i took the case off and swapped out the ram inside to bump it up to 768mb ddr...reached around behind the entertainment center to unplug everything...and well...uhh.. you guessed it...cat 5 just bloody hanging there... DOH!!!
