(Yet Another Fallacy.)

Sadly for those who are pro-capital punishment, the trial process of a capital crime in the U.S. has always cost the taxpayers millions of dollars for each trial. Capital trials go on far, far longer than ones that don't carry the death penalty.

Incarceration is cheaper.
