Mandrake 9.0 by nimdokk 2002-10-03 14:49:34
OK, so I'm supposed to help my uncle set up a Mandrake linux box this weekend. I've never used this particular distro (I've mostly used SuSE with a couple of RedHat installs and one Slackware). Any gotchas that I might not be aware of? I'm going to assume that Mandrake uses an installation manager similar to the one that SuSE uses (and a similar configuration tool once it is all installed). Not sure what all he wants to do with it, that will determine how we do the installs as much as anything. I'm guessing that he wants to play with the networking (so Apache, SAMBA, etc would be nice to play with).
