He said that the last "logged" complaint... by nelzie 2002-10-03 08:51:19
...was two years ago. I worked on a VERY busy help desk for quite a while and recieved quite endless glowing remarks from my manager and the clients that I assisted.

However, there were a few times when something very strange happened and no matter what I attempted to do, the client simply wanted to be an aZZ and complain about my "Attitude" to management. Each one of those times, my manager brought me into his office and he laughed about what the client was saying, because he knew who I am and how I treat clients. I was never written up because my manager also knew the particular client had a history of being a total aZZ to all of the support staff.

Putting someone on probation without hearing their side of the story due to a "known issue" with attitude is very common when the person is known to have an attitude issue.

I have always been on the good side of the management staffs that I have worked with because I do a good job, treat co-workers and clients with the utmost respect and bite my tongue whenever the situation warrants. Being on their good side made me privy to so much information it is darn silly.

Unless you were in the position I had gotten myself into, you simply do not know what is said about ALL of your co-workers, other management staff members and clients behind the closed doors of managers. Some of it is very harsh, some of it can be glowing and unless you glow ALL of the time, the only thing they hear and know is the garbage that you carry around with you.

Simply based upon the rant written by adiplomat, I can almost see exactly how he treats co-workers and clients. Why? Because I was privy to the closed door information and then had to hear the same rants by people just like him in the office that I worked in.
