Damn you, my g/f agrees with you too. =( However, speaking for those who still mount their toilet paper rolls the right way, the underneath toilet roll style allows for a quick one hander because you can pull the paper up in such a way that it pushes the toilet roll into the wall and gives friction to rip. With off the top technique, you ust use two hands as you cannot pull the paper off in such an angle that it allows you to push it into the wall therefore forcing you to put down the magazine you are reading with one hand to prop the toilet roll steady.
