To add a WONDERFUL end (God, I hope) to a BEAUTIFUL week, I've just been placed on probation at work for being yelled at by one of my fellow employees.
This individual was calling me to get help on a job she was not trained for, and yelled at me for not immediately being able to just DO her job for her! She was rude, nasty, and utterly snide, but I got things rolling anyway. Now I'm in trouble!
She complained to her boss that I made her cry, and that I was mean and heartless to her, and that I didn't help her at all. Her boss immediately passed all this on to my manager, who in a perfect display of impartiality, immediately placed ME on probation, without even hearing my side, or looking at the records of the issue which I had written up.
I was told that these issues kept occurring every few months (The last time was Oct. of 2000!), and that this was a "known issue" with me. Hmmm... 2 years since the last complaint, on a HELLdesk, and I have "known issues with rudeness"? I should get a medal for extreme tolerance under fire!
I may be out of a job, soon, just because some twit couldn't hold her temper and blamed me for her issues! Pardon me, but I had to vent, and I hope no one is too annoyed about it. There is no one I could call, so y'all caught it. |
