Create a top-level content with the text "No, I'm not also going to make a top level post, so stop bugging me about it!" (possibly insert some barely-FYOS-safe insults to the cluttermob). That way, they still can't clutter you, but everyone can see (hmmmm...) that you're going to keep it that way.
