Grar by mcnutcase2002-09-29 09:54:26
i had this same problem by trystean 2006-11-19 12:55:59
there is a difference between the old original UT discs and the UT GOTY discs. the loki installer likes using the GOTY discs, because all the maps are compressed in a way it can decompress them, whereas on the original they're compressed with the *.uz suffix. basically, if you look under whereeveryouinstalledut/Maps you'll see that there's an Entry.unr.uz. however, the game binary can't read that. here's the FAQ entry, which also contains a link how to fix this problem.

i myself am having a problem with UT. it loads all nicely, but i don't have a mouse cursor in the game menu. basically, it takes a lot of guesswork to start a game, although when i finally do manage to hit the 'start' button, i do get a crosshair in the game, thank heavens. anyone know if this is a problem that can be fixed?
