I've been lurking around here for some time, and I figured this was about time to delurk (OK, so I've been watching Futurama episodes - can't normally get them here - and it's a while until the next one is downloaded ;).
I found UF several months ago (can't say how many), and promptly read every archived comic in order, and I now read UF essentially every day (if I miss a comic, I'll go back the next day ;). At one stage I wrote a program to auto-fetch to desktop background for me (sorry Illiad!), but I figured it was nicer to read the actual pages, and I've started reading the UF community posts recently. Now I delurk.
Enough blathering, anyway, I bore myself, let alone anyone else ;)
Just couple of comments:
Looking at the 'Become a Member' page (which I can only access once logged in - before I had an account I had no success looking at the membership options, I wondered what everyone was going on about ;), according to UF.org's terms and conditions, it seems I have to commit to pay a regular subscription fee by clicking on the 'I Accept' button, even before I can see what that subscription fee is, and how I can pay it. What's going on?
Also on the support-talented-cartoonists tack, I thought Illiad and the UF community might be interested in the 'Rational Street Performer Protocol'. Clicky - that document contains some technical details, but the basic idea is fairly simple. Though it might be of interest.
[sigh], yet another longer-than-expected post. Ah well. Hi all. |
