I'm glad that some language teachers out there are actually thinking (Well, that's the best way to teach to adults, at least. Young children are still capable of learning languages the traditional way) I considered taking a Spanish course a few years ago, until I discovered that it was being taught as "here's how to say 'my name is <x>. how are you?', and here's how to count to 10", etc. Looks like they still use elementary-school techniques for teaching language at the university level.
