little cousins coming over tomorrow... i think maybe i should clear off the couch, edit my playlist for content, and then find a temporary place for all of my devices of peril
darn those probey little fingers of monkey like curiosity...
(interesting fact about these kids, they are both trying to learn how to play instruments, sarah is learning the piano and organ, and steven is learning the guitar... and on a whim, he decided he also wanted to play bass (like his other cousin in a christian rock/ska/punk/emo? band(not me)) and so his parents gave him a... a chello... ... :| so there's this little kid who cant even tune the thing, and he cant even press the bow hard enough to the strings to produce anything resembling music or even a partial tune... he's decent on guitar, probably better than me, but he has to look at the sheets to play the simplest of things and it takes him about 5 minutes to play 30 seconds of music... argh! oh well... thrashing is not his destiny
he also is probably going to bring his ps2... ugh... hopefully he wont be setting it up in here, there shall be no residance by a console in here as long as i inhabit this space!
whenever i think i was/am spoiled, i think about these kids and realized i am a bit spoiled, but these kids are unofficial royalty...
(at least their dad (the safety nazi (and the cousin in the band and i have reached the conclusion that he is a closet bisexual who always has the smell of wine on his breath)) (no offense to bisexuals or alcoholics)(but this guy is pretty badly good) (the perfect example of hippy gone old)(we have heard rumors of him having hair down to his butt... but i refuse to beleive that... at least not completely) (oh, and if you are wondering why im speaking in '(,)'s' its cause my mom would kill me if i said anything about the extended family in public

all of the upper generations in my family tree are way too uptight... now im not suggesting that at thanksgiving someone should stuff the turkey full of pot right before it is roasetd or whatever... but... well, its like being in the most animated mourge in the history of mankind |
