today at work, there was a brownout for a little while- the principal came on and said 'naw falks, thars a pawur surjj gawn on right naw- so teacherznstudents, turn off yer computers for a while'
and then the it dept started scrambling, the servers had to be put back online and all, while the phones were all beeping off the pockets about how teachers (who didnt listen to the announcement) couldnt get their superimportant email working
and so, lucky me- i was working on installing nics in a couple of really old computers and the computers were rejecting them... so i had that, while my dept was chasing bogeys and all
