Hurricanes are BORING! by NOLAWitch 2002-09-26 06:38:36
It rains and rains and rains and...well, you get the picture. I stayed over at a friend's place last night and it was uneventful except for the leak in the ceiling. A bucket solved that problem and after a while, I didn't even notice the *drip, drip, drip* sound.

Schools and businesses and roads are closed. Cars are sitting up to their hoods in water because morons decided to drive into low areas they should have known would be flooded. I've called my best friend and he said he's dry and bored. That's quite an accomplishment since he lives Uptown in a basement apartment.

I was thinking about you all last night as I sipped my rum and Coke and watched "West Wing". I don't go anywhere else on the 'net because I feel I've found the best virtual community already. And it's really not even so virtual anymore since everyone seems to be getting together IRL more frequently. Much love and affection to everybody. I'm heading back over to my friend's to watch some Quentin Tarantino movies. Catch you all tomorrow.
