ok, let's examine the facts... by CrazySteve 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Ok, as if you needed a reason to avoid this place to begin with...

The world bank is meeting in September. There are many many people that do not like the world bank. This meeting is in the U.S.. In Washington. DC. The DC police chief is demanding the world bank and international monetary foundation foot the bill for the security detail stating, "this is not a local meeting." Dcpd had to spend millions of dollars the last two times they decided to meet there. It gets better. The chief is not making detail plans until he gets the cash to pay for it. Allow me to remind you of the time frame: September 28th and 29th, one month away. "Outside agencies" are not running to help either due to cash as well. The DC chief will not pull cops from neighborhood patrols to keep the angry villagers from storming the castle. Dcpd has requested three thousand cops to help, so far a grand total of seven hundred have confirmed they'll help out. They figure the irate protesters (and at this rate, rioters) will start arriving en mass on the 25th.

Washington D.C.
