I had to pay my own gas, a percentage of my tips when to the pizza cooks, and the tips weren't all that great. I got stiffed on the tip A LOT. Every third or fourth delivery someone would count their pennies into my hand. Most of the time I got a 50 cent tip, and a $3 tip was worth telling the people back in the office about. Most deliveries took 20 or 30 minutes, so I could do two or three an hour, meaning I made my base salary plus $1 minus gas. Quite often my tips didn't even make my gas, meaning I was making less than minimum wage.

My boss pushed us to break the speed limit constantly, but any tickets we got were our own responsibility. When my clutch went out I was responsible for repairs. When my signals died I drove all winter with arm signals because I couldn't afford to fix it.

Pizza delivery sucks. Don't do it.
