of the story. I've also hear that the Jade Emperor was planning to throw a party for all the animals (including Cat). Cat forgot the date of the feast and asked Rat when it was. Rat was hngover and not feeling well at the time so he told Cat the wrong date by accident. So all 12 animals showed up (including Rat) on the correct date, except for Cat. The Jade Emperor then gave each animal who showed up a spot in the Zodiac. This also explains why Cats hate Rats :)
