Simple network question by jdoverholt2002-08-28 01:57:33
  Normal... by NorthernCoder 2002-08-28 02:28:56
The collisions is a normal result from the ethernet protocol.
When two or more devices within the same hardware network want to send at the same time, they collide, and have a beauty contest to see who sends first.
It is so by design.
A 100 collisions per second when sending tens or hundreds of thousands isn't all that much.
