No, I don't work for Zone Labs.

I just don't like seeing defamatory information spread around by people.

"Defamatory" means information which can damage someone's repute and/or livelihood. There is plenty of info available online about internet *libel* (defamation in a written published form).

Bottom line is that posts on the Internet are not really any different than publication in a newspaper or magazine. The very broad reach means that harmful false information can do a great deal of damage. People like "Freakazoid" here all too often thoughtlessly post such damaging information as this without realizing that they can cause Real World damage to Real World people's reputations and/or livelihoods - and they can be held accountable for this in front of a Real World judge.

Just because you, Naruki or myself or others, are wise enough to discount such info, does not mean that the majority of the readership will be.
