and I'm not scared. I said frightened. There's a difference. Scared would indicate a deeply personal and carnal fear for my own safety---that is something that rarely, if ever, happens to me. There are reasons for that, but they are reasons that I hold close to me.
Frightened is (to me) an overall increase in one's level of awareness and concern of what is going on around them. When groups of people as easily led as you are coming off as being get together it almost always leads to bad things happening. I'd rather not go into it too far because I want this discussion to center around you and not become an exploration of my own, sometimes controversial beliefs. As I said, take a good look at a history book, flip through some pages, and learn.
I'm not attacking your belief that you are a vampire. Hey, if you can sit there one day and say "well, I'll be---I'm a vampire" then go for it. But I would hope that a person who allows their lives to be changed "drastically" does it because they have read more than a web page's worth of information on the subject. To me, as I said, that shows a very shallow and lame attempt at self-identification. Wouldn't it suck if what you read was actually an inaccurate depiction of what it is to be a vampire? Perhaps it is one person's interpretation of what it means--but that person is wrong--or is twisting what it actually means into something totally different. To do what you are doing is akin to reading The Onion as your only source of news. Granted, we'd live in a much funnier world, but you'd have no idea about what is really going on around you....because that is the only thing you accepted as being the news. |
