The christian bible is actually a major rewrite of Jewish scripture. They took the Tan"kh rearranged the order of some of the chapters called it the Old Testament and then wrote a large addition to it, which they called the New Testament. All this for the changing of a prophet, he might have been more than that but for the sake of this arguement that doesn't matter since he was at the very least a prophet. Also the Tan"kh, or Old Testament if you prefer, was an expansion of the Torah in which most of the additions were words from the changing prophets.
