With the number of missionaries the Church sends out to spread the truth, you wouldn't think it'd be a fault of not trying.

Actually, with the number of times I've personally encountered people with whom conversations go:

"Don't you believe $X?"
"No, we believe $Y."
"No, you don't; you believe $X!"
The problem would seem to be lack of listening rather than lack of communicating...
