Simple question by jdoverholt 2002-08-26 10:41:28
In the /etc/rc.d/rc?.d directories, is there a preferred order to give the entries? Like, it comes with S95anacron and S10network and a lot of others. But when I add my own, I'm just kinda making up numbers for them to put them where I think they should go. Is this correct, or is there a list somewhere of the numbers for each service?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I'm trying to learn everything needed to be a linux sysadmin. Set up ypserv and ypbind today and they work swimmingly.

TIA -- Jon
