| It's really about being in control of our own lives. I'm an American which gives me certain civil rights and entightlements. More importantly, I am a human being. That doesn't mean anything, because throughout history humans have controlled, dominated, and enslaved each other. But we claim to be better than our forefathers; we claim enlightenment, human rights, and human dignity for all. How can we claim that and still subjugate some? How is denying all 15 yearolds the ability to drink any less wrong than denying all women or all blacks? It's about equality, my friend. |
