I just think that the current age limits are kinda silly. If we're going to say that you are "mature" enough to take control of your own life at 18, why are there legal limits that are above that age?

Seriously, if you are old/mature enough at 18 to be in charge of your own life, why put the legal drinking age at 21, or even 19? By doing that you're saying, "you are mature enough to control your life but not mature enough to understand the consequences of drinking."
