Ideally I think that's the best solution: get a nice Sony DV here in Canada. Power conversion is trivial, I do have a full sinewave 120->220 converter (and a blocky one too). The whole problem is that I don't think they'll have a desktop PC! therefore no PCI slots. Only Laptops... and I can't imaging doing any Full rame capture & conversion with one of those...
